erlang software package provides Concurrent, real-time, distributed functional language, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install erlang
erlang is installed in your system.
Make ensure the erlang package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep erlang *
You will get with erlang package name, version, architecture and description in a table
